Short Fiction Published in Rkvry Quarterly

An excerpt from one of my manuscripts was published on Rkvry Quarterly this week. It’s my first published fiction (rather than humor essays), which is a big deal for me because it semi validates all the novel manuscripts collecting on my computer. The novel, Mercy House, is about a nun who disobeys church doctrine to help abused women under her care, and this story is told in the voice of one of those women.

Thanks to Mary Akers, the editor at Rkvry, who was a dream to work with.

  1. Thanks Alena … (sad to think this stuff happens. Thank God for interventionists of all stripes). Maybe now the novel will get published! M
